Dru yoga classes
Dru yoga is a gentle, flowing form of hatha yoga
The heart centred sequences, postures and relaxation will leave you with a lovely sense of peace and calm
ONLINE - £9/class via zoom and you receive a recording which is available to watch for 7 days

Shakti flow classes
Shakti yoga dance classes are designed to help you move, destress and relax. We work with flowing movement, sound, mantra, meditation, relaxation to bring ourselves in to harmony and balance. The music is an important part of the session and selected especially for each class or workshop.
I am experimenting with running short versions of Shakti Dance - 45 minute classes which encompass moving mantra, shakti stretches and relaxation. Please note these are not full shakti dance classes. Please contact me direct if you are struggling financially at this time and would prefer a donation option

Yoga workshops
I love to run small workshops focussing on the elements, sound and energy. These are both live and online experiences and I usually run one a month, however, I'm taking a break from live teaching in September so there are none currently scheduled. Journey through the Chakras - begins November 2021
a 7 moon sacred wisdom pilgrimage to connect with your body, mind and soul
I am delighted to be collaborating with my dear friend Ros Simons and deepening the journey with our energy body - those of you who come to my yoga classes know that we spend the first part of the year working our way along the seven main chakras with philosophy, yoga practice and guided meditations.
Each moon you receive a gift box along with information, a workbook and links to guided sound journeys, meditations and yoga. The box includes the gorgeous affirmation cards I had a lot of fun drawing and creating last year. |
Ros specialises in working with sacred sound and if you have experienced the amazing sound pipes I often bring to workshops and classes then you will be delighted to know that this course begins your own journey with sound as chakra tuning forks will form a major part of the content. With each moon you will receive your own tuning fork with a custom wooden handle inset with a related crystal, amplifying the vibration even more.
Dru yoga for a healthy back
Learn how to care for your back - this introductory programme is suitable for anyone with chronic or long term low back pain, general aches and pains or would like to learn some self care techniques to support your back.
The programme involves completing a health check questionnaire; attending 4 classes; practice at home and completion of some feedback in order to track progress and ensure that you receive ongoing support and that the programme meets your needs.
I am considering running a programme in July and August.

I love sharing yoga with young people. I'm happy to run a programme or pop up class or workshop with your group or in your school.
I previously taught kayaking and canoeing to children for over 20 years and have experience of teaching folks from all backgrounds, abilities and learning types.

Yoga is for Everyone
Yoga is for me a way of life, it is not just about the postures or how I look - its about showing up, experimenting with how my body works in this moment, how I feel, what arises for me through my practice, how can I apply the philosophy? It's an opportunity to continuously learn and share and connect.
There are so many ways to connect with yoga and dru yoga can be very therapeutic, working with visualisation where the physical feels impossible or impracticable; finding different ways to reach the same outcomes; exploring all the different aspects of yoga - the postures, breath work, stillness, meditation, connection, relaxation, our energy and the philosophy.
Shakti dance (the yoga of dance) for me brings freedom to my life, I have discovered the power of mantra, the courage it takes to stand up, show up and be present, the stories, myths and legends we can infuse in to our practise. It feels expansive and releasing.
I believe yoga is for everyone - whether you have never tried it, think it's weird or have a longstanding practice (in any yoga tradition) you are welcome to come to class. If you are nervous or unsure or your body hurts too much to try - please get in touch and we can chat through how yoga might be of benefit to you.
Being a bit of a nomad, I run classes and workshops across the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Regular blocks of weekly classes are held in Craignish Village Hall, Ardfern and I work collaboratively with others to run retreats and workshops.
